THE NILKANTHA  PALACE

-present structure was built on the shrine of lord shiva

-steps-61- leading to court

-court-enclosed by rooms to its west,south and east  

           north portion is kept open for enjoying view of

           valley

          -center-fine cistern-water is supplied by channel

           or cascade

-rooms-east and west-floor levels are higher than court

                                     -floor levels lower than south room

             -south-octagonal cistern

             -fed by water from tank on back of building

-walls-inscriptions of the time of akbar cointaning

           interesting verses
