DAI-KI CHOTTI BAHEN KA MAHAL/GUMBAD

-location-south of sara’i

-story- associate with some lady relate to certain wet

           nurse of one of the princess of mandu

--in reality it is tomb-though it is called a mahal

-it was her house in which she was buried

-terrace-double-on which thee whole building stands

plan-octagonal

-walls-exterior-divided into panelsby bands of projecting

           masonary

-dome-traces of blue tiles are seen

-south-traces of beautiful gardens and pavilion are seen


DAI-KA MAHAL/GUMBAD

-the mahal,more properly called mausoleum

-rooms-west-with arched openings

-towers-traces at south-east and north-east corners there stood a beautiful pavilion

-terrace-middle-there is tomb

-plan-square

         -double hall

    

-ceilings –vaulted

-windows-north and south –are special in balusters and

                 in elephant –tusk brackets supporting them

-dooms-octagonal

             -common decorative device with doom in deccan
